When patients experience perinatal or neonatal loss, providers are there to give comfort, advice & anticipatory guidance. These beautiful brochures have been written by a board certified lactation consultant (IBCLC), and offer help during this unique & difficult time.

The following resources are given to patients:

• Emotional support
• Clinical information on the process of ending lactation
• Information on pumping & donation (if the mother desires this option)
• The normal course of events to expect
• Red-flags to look out for in regards to infection
• How to find further lactation support if needed
• Online resources that help connect the family to others (nationalshare.org)

The pictures were specifically chosen to help the mother feel connected and also to show the supplies needed to help suppress lactation.

This is a wonderful resource to add to a mother’s discharge packet, and will leave her more empowered to face the coming days.
